APSN All Region Team – Offense

In the APSN coverage area, we are blessed with some of the best offensive football talent in the mountains. Last week, we named Kain Patton of Prestonsburg our APSN Football Player of the Year. Kain had a tremendous season, but he was not alone. Below is a list of players and their statistics that validate why they were selected as part of the APSN All-Region Team: (note: several players were standouts on both offense and defense but we listed on just one team)


Kain Patton – Prestonsburg (RB / WR)

Rushing

  • 11 games, 128 rushes, 1,871 yards, 28 TDs
  • 14.6 YPC, ~170 yards per game

Receiving

  • 34 receptions, 705 yards, 7 TDs
  • 20.7 yards per catch, 64 yards per game

Scoring

  • 28 rushing TD + 7 receiving TD + kicking points
  • 221 total points (20.1 ppg)

Daniel Adams – Prestonsburg (OL)

A key member of a Prestonsburg offensive line that produced outstanding numbers:

  • Rushing: 4,339 yards on 364 carries (361.6 YPG)
  • Passing: 76/112 for 1,387 yards (115.6 YPG)

Isaiah Allen – Betsy Layne (WR)

Receiving

  • 6 games, 54 catches, 647 yards, 8 TDs
  • 12.0 YPC, 108 yards and 1.3 TD per game

Scoring

  • 8 total TDs, 52 points

Tyler Brooks – Lawrence County (OL)

The Class 3A District 8 Lineman of the Year helped lead a powerful LC offense:

  • Rushing: 2,605 yards on 337 carries (217.1 YPG)
  • Passing: 118/152 for 2,380 yards (198.3 YPG)

Wesley Buck – Floyd Central (WR )

Receiving

  • 9 games, 48 receptions, 823 yards, 8 TDs
  • 17.1 YPC, 91 yards per game

Scoring / All-Purpose

  • Offensive and return TDs + kicking
  • 88 total points (9.8 ppg)

Luke Fetherolf – Lawrence County (QB)

Rushing

  • 12 games, 65 carries, 609 yards, 7 TDs
  • 9.4 YPC, ~51 yards per game

Passing

  • 115 completions on 148 attempts
  • 2,267 yards, 28 TDs, 5 INT

Mikey Hager – Pikeville (WR)

Receiving

  • 11 games, 51 receptions, 668 yards, 10 TDs
  • 13.1 YPC, 61 yards per game

Talon Jordan – East Ridge (RB)

Rushing

  • 11 games, 169 carries, 1,495 yards, 14 TDs
  • 8.8 YPC, 136 yards per game

Scoring

  • 14 TDs + additional scoring
  • 100 total points (9.1 ppg)

Anderson Lauffer – Paintsville (WR / All-Purpose)

Receiving

  • 11 games, 57 catches, 1,025 yards, 14 TDs
  • 18.0 YPC, 93 yards and 1.3 TD per game

Henry McNamee – Pikeville (OL)

A finalist for Class 1A District 8 Lineman of the Year, anchoring a productive Pikeville offense:

  • Rushing: 1,299 yards on 236 carries (118 YPG)
  • Passing: 146/218 for 1,764 yards (160.4 YPG)

Braxton Moore – Martin County (OL)

A cornerstone of the Martin County offensive line:

  • Rushing: 2,631 yards on 343 carries (219.3 YPG)
  • Passing: 119/220 for 1,718 yards (143.2 YPG)

Josh Newsome – Shelby Valley (OL)

Shelby Valley’s offensive line produced exceptional numbers:

  • Rushing: 2,631 yards on 343 carries (219.3 YPG)
  • Passing: 119/220 for 1,718 yards (143.2 YPG)

Dylan Peck – Johnson Central (OL)

A classic Johnson Central power-football lineman:

  • Rushing: 4,579 yards on 523 carries (381.6 YPG)

Devan Maynard – Martin County (RB)

Rushing

  • 12 games, 135 carries, 1,332 yards, 23 TDs
  • 9.9 YPC, 111 yards per game

Passing

  • 115/213 Attempts 1,692 Yards, 14 TDs
  • 141.0 Yards Per Game

Scoring

  • 23 rushing TD + defensive/ST scores + PATs
  • 164 points (13.7 ppg)

Tanner Maynard – Shelby Valley (RB)

Rushing

  • 6 games, 89 carries, 728 yards, 5 TDs
  • 8.2 YPC, 121 yards per game

Logan Music – Johnson Central (RB)

Rushing

  • 12 games, 130 carries, 1,326 yards, 15 TDs
  • 10.2 YPC, 110 yards per game

Skylar Ray – Pike Central (OL)

A key part of a productive Hawk attack:

  • Rushing: 2,271 yards on 386 carries (227.1 YPG)

Caden Thacker – Pikeville (OL)

Class 1A District 8 Offensive Lineman of the Year, helping push Pikeville into the Final Four:

  • Rushing: 1,299 yards on 236 carries (108.3 YPG)
  • Passing: 146/218 for 1,764 yards (147 YPG)

Blake Wireman – Magoffin County (RB)

Rushing

  • 10 games, 250 carries, 1,663 yards, 20 TDs
  • 6.7 YPC, 166 yards per game

Bo Wolford – Belfry (OL)

Class 2A District 8 Offensive Lineman of the Year, leading a strong Pirate front:

  • Rushing: 3,041 yards on 301 carries (233.9 YPG)
  • Passing: 54/94 for 1,417 yards (110.9 YPG)

JB Woolum – Belfry (WR / RB)

Rushing

  • 51 carries, 778 yards, 14 TDs
  • 64.8 yards per game

Receiving

  • 39 receptions, 428 yards, 6 TDs

Steven Gonzalez-Santes – Pikeville (K)

The APSN Special Teams Player of the Year was a reliable scoring weapon:

  • Perfect 47/47 on PATs
  • 4/7 on field goals

With statistics like these, it is easy to see why each of these athletes earned their place on the APSN All-Region Team.
