Pike Central Advances in WYMT Classic With 63–45 Win Over Leslie County

The Pike Central Hawks surged into the next round of the WYMT Classic, defeating the Leslie County Eagles 63–45 thanks to a dominant fourth quarter that turned a tight contest into a convincing victory.

Leslie County came out firing in the opening period, fueled by an impressive 8-point quarter from Tripp Brashear, helping the Eagles build a 16–10 lead after one. Their early tempo and shot-making put Pike Central on its heels, forcing the Hawks to regroup quickly.

In the second quarter, Pike Central responded behind the sharpshooting of Will Rowe, who knocked down two three-pointers to spark a much-needed run. The Hawks trimmed the deficit to just four at the half, trailing 31–27 at the intermission.

The third quarter belonged to Bobby Biliter, who poured in 8 points as the Hawks continued to chip away at the Eagles’ lead. Biliter’s scoring burst and Pike Central’s defensive adjustments brought the game within striking distance at just one point heading into the final frame.

The fourth quarter, however, was all Hawks. Pike Central exploded offensively and locked down Leslie County on the defensive end, outscoring the Eagles 23–4 in a statement finish that sealed their 63–45 victory.

Will Rowe delivered a standout performance, earning Surplus Product Player of the Game honors with 25 points, including an efficient 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, while also securing 6 rebounds. His shot-making and leadership proved pivotal in Pike Central’s comeback and late-game surge.
