Collins Carries Short-Handed Ladycats to 48–40 Sunshine Classic Victory Over Bobcats

Daytona Beach, Fla. — Facing adversity with a short-handed roster, the Ladycats leaned on leadership, poise, and timely performances to earn a 48–40 victory over the Bobcats of West Forsyth (GA) at the Daytona Sunshine Classic. At the center of it all was Mady Collins, who delivered a standout performance to guide her team to a hard-fought win.

Collins was electric from start to finish, leading all scorers with 19 points while adding 4 rebounds. She shot an efficient 47% from the field and connected on 40% from three-point range, providing timely scoring and steady leadership when the Ladycats needed it most.

Shyla Kidd continued her inspiring return to the floor, making an immediate impact in just her second game back from ACL surgery. Kidd contributed 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, showing confidence and toughness on both ends of the court.

Jayden Jarrell anchored the interior and facilitated the offense, finishing with 4 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Her rebounding presence and court vision were key factors in controlling the pace of the game.
