Floyd Central holds steady at No. 2 after a perfect 3–0 week. The Lady Jags captured the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic (White Division) in Gatlinburg. All eyes will be on Thursday night when No. 1 Johnson Central and No. 2 Floyd Central meet in the 2A Tournament in Louisa for a rematch of an earlier-season matchup.
3) Paintsville Lady Tigers (NC)
Paintsville remains at No. 3 with a 9–4 record on the season. The Lady Tigers went 1–0 on the week with a win over Prestonsburg, setting up a 3 vs. 5 matchup as they take on Martin County.
4) Pikeville Lady Panthers (+1)
Pikeville moves up one spot and continues to be one of the hottest teams in the region. The Lady Panthers went 3–0 on the week, picking up wins over regional opponents Betsy Layne and East Ridge.
5) Martin County Lady Cardinals (–1)
Martin County slides one spot this week. The Lady Cardinals have not played since December 20 but will return to action Tuesday against Paintsville.
