The 15th Region Coaches Association has recognized one of its most dedicated and accomplished leaders. Jason Slone has officially been named the 2025 15th Region Coaches Association Boys Soccer Coach of the Year. The award caps off a remarkable season and celebrates a coaching career spanning more than two decades.
A Career Built on Commitment and Growth
This fall marks 21 years since Slone first stepped onto the sidelines as a coach. Over that time, he has worked at nearly every level of youth and school-based soccer, shaping hundreds of athletes throughout Eastern Kentucky. His coaching résumé includes:
- U6–U19 teams with Eastern Kentucky Youth Soccer Association (EKYSA)
- Boys and girls middle school soccer
- Girls high school soccer
- Boys high school soccer
Slone’s versatility and long-term commitment have made him a pillar in the region’s soccer community, respected for both player development and competitive success.
A Championship Season to Remember
The 2025 campaign was one of the most successful in program history. Under Slone’s leadership, the boys team delivered a season defined by discipline, balance, and dominance across the field. The team finished with an outstanding 21–3 record, earning multiple titles along the way:
- 15th Region All A Classic Champions
- 15th Region Champions
- District Gold Cup Winners
- Elite 8 (Quarterfinals) in the KHSAA State Tournament
Their postseason run put the program on the statewide map, showcasing the depth and quality of Slone’s roster.
A Fitting Honor for a Respected Leader
Being named Coach of the Year is more than a reflection of wins and awards—it recognizes Slone’s impact on student-athletes, his leadership within the program, and his continued influence on soccer across the 15th Region.
