Ladycats Overpower Jenkins to Close Out Final Varsity Game at Jr. Newsome Classic

In the final varsity matchup of the night, the Betsy Layne Ladycats hosted the Jenkins Lady Cavaliers and wasted no time asserting their dominance. Betsy Layne erupted for 22 first-half points while holding Jenkins to just 6, building a commanding lead they would carry throughout the night.

The Ladycats were fueled early by strong offensive performances from Jaden Pente, who scored 9 first-half points, and Kinleigh Martin, who chipped in 11 to help Betsy Layne seize total control of the contest.

The second half brought more of the same, as Betsy Layne continued to roll on both ends of the floor. Off the bench, Amari Anderson provided a spark, contributing 6 points to help extend the lead even further. The Ladycats ultimately cruised to a convincing 46–12 victory.

For her steady scoring and all-around impact, Kinleigh Martin earned the Surplus Products Player of the Game honors, finishing with a game-high 16 points.
