The Pikeville Panther JV squad wasted no time asserting control as they jumped out to an early lead over the Elliott County Lions and never looked back. Behind a strong opening half from Grayson Reed, the Panthers established the tone defensively and offensively in a wire-to-wire performance.
Reed powered Pikeville in the first half with 9 points, helping the Panthers build a commanding 23–10 lead at the break. The momentum carried over into the second half, where Reed continued his standout effort by adding 11 more points to finish with a game-high 20.
Pikeville’s balanced play and defensive pressure allowed them to steadily pull away, ultimately cruising to a dominant 47–20 victory.
Reed’s 20-point performance earned him the Surplus Products Player of the Game honors, capping off an impressive night for the young Panther.
