In girls basketball action last night, the East Ridge Lady Warriors faced off against Mount Mission and pulled away for an 83–52 victory.
The opening quarter was tightly contested, with East Ridge holding onto a slim 19–15 lead. Olivia Stanley led the way early with eight points, while Kourtlee Keene added seven as the Lady Warriors set the tone offensively.
East Ridge began to create separation in the second quarter, outscoring Mount Mission 16–9. Keene stayed hot, pouring in another seven points in the period, as the Lady Warriors took a 35–24 lead into halftime.
The game turned decisively in the third quarter when Stanley put on a scoring clinic. She accounted for all 20 of East Ridge’s points in the period, pushing the Lady Warriors’ advantage to 55–36 heading into the fourth.
Stanley’s hot hand continued in the final quarter, where she scored 10 of East Ridge’s 28 points as the Lady Warriors cruised to the 83–52 win.
Stanley finished with a game-high 41 points, shooting 66 percent from the field, and was named the Surplus Products Player of the Game.
